Visible's New Fiber-Plus-Phone Bundle: What It Actually Costs

Visible, the Verizon-owned budget wireless carrier, is getting into the home internet business — sort of. Its new Visible One bundle pairs mobile service with fiber internet on a single bill, using Visible Fiber, which runs on Verizon’s Fios network. The catch: it’s only available to people who already have a Fios line sitting dormant in their home.

What you’d actually pay

There are two versions of the bundle, and both include taxes and fees in the sticker price — no surprise line items later.

• Visible One: Visible’s base mobile plan plus 300 Mbps download and upload fiber internet for $55 a month after an introductory period. New customers get a $50-a-month rate for the first two months, paid upfront as a single $100 charge. That’s $660 a year at the regular rate, or about $600 in year one factoring in the intro discount.
• Visible+ Pro One: Visible’s top wireless plan (5G Ultra Wideband) plus a smartwatch line and 1 Gig symmetrical fiber internet for $75 a month — $900 a year.

Visible says there’s no credit check and no annual contract on either bundle, which matters if you’ve been burned by early-termination fees on a traditional carrier or ISP contract.

The self-install angle

The pitch here is convenience: if your home already has an inactive ONT (the box that connects fiber lines to your equipment), you can self-install without waiting for a technician. Visible provides the equipment for free, and you keep it once you’ve stayed on the service for three consecutive months.

For anyone who’s had a cable or fiber install appointment pushed back a week, skipping the truck roll is a real perk — though it only applies if the previous occupant, or a prior provider, already ran fiber to your unit.

Who actually qualifies

This is the part that limits how many people can use it. Visible One is currently only open to new Fios customers who have an existing, inactive ONT and are not currently subscribed to Fios. If you’ve never had Fios, or you’re already a Fios customer, you’re not eligible for this bundle as launched. You can check your address at Visible.com/home to see if you qualify.

In practical terms: this is aimed at renters or new homeowners moving into a place where a prior tenant had Fios, or people switching from a competing provider without giving up the physical Fios wiring already in the walls.

Who pays more, who pays less

If you already juggle a separate wireless bill and a separate internet bill, the appeal is consolidation — one payment, no credit check, no contract. Whether it’s cheaper than what you have now depends entirely on your current setup. A $55-a-month, 300 Mbps plan is competitive with many stand-alone fiber offers, and folding in a phone line for no extra base cost is where the real savings could show up for eligible households.

But this isn’t a discount for everyone with a Visible phone or everyone with Fios — it’s narrowly targeted, at least for now.

What to do about it

Before you get excited, check eligibility at Visible.com/home — the address lookup will tell you fast whether you actually qualify. If you do, compare the $55 or $75 monthly price (plus the $100 intro charge for the base tier) against what you’re paying now for phone and internet combined, including any promotional rates set to expire. If you don’t qualify, there’s nothing to do yet; Visible hasn’t said whether it plans to expand eligibility to Fios customers who aren’t dormant or to non-Fios markets.
